The focus here is on the new demands in 21st century markets: transparency, health, connectivity, meaningfulness, sustainability, honesty, quality, and originality. Within Market we enable students to develop their personal talent into a professional content. In other words: what are you good at, and what will you have to offer when you finish here?

Learning to make confident presentations, knowing what your design is worth, being able to explain why investing in your idea is worthwhile, exploring the globalising world and the significance this has for things such as production. All these aspects are tackled during Market classes.
Students specialising in Market will have a more economic and entrepreneurial approach to the design profession. They will be outgoing and will have a keen eye for people’s needs and desires or the demands in the market in a more general sense. They are relatively quick at establishing relationships between commissioners and their own professional identity, which allows them to determine their own position in relation to the markets.
