After your first year at Design Academy Eindhoven, you will choose one of the eight design departments. Each department is headed by a designer or artist of international repute. The design modules of the departments confront you, the student, with realistic design issues. The teaching teams of the design departments will guide you through this process and will stimulate the development of your personal designing method. Eventually, you will graduate in one of the eight design departments.

Classes are taught by professional designers from the Netherlands and abroad. They only teach one day a week, and spend the rest of their workweek in the everyday practice of the design industry. A balance which guarantees a continuous and up-to-date connection between design reality and your classes. The names of the eight design departments refer to the context from which these departments consider designing issues.
