MAN AND ACTIVITY

This department encourages you to look closely at the role of technology. What is it now, and how can it be improved and expanded in the future? You will consider how various technological developments might be accepted by the general public and how these developments might influence people’s environment. Thanks to your intensive research and analysis, you will be the first to come up with innovative and attractive products, services and experiences.

Because you will also have studied the changes needs within society. The list of essential criteria for a good project includes terms such as beauty, efficiency, sustainability, social relevance, user friendliness and comfort – not to mention empathy and humour. Whether the topic is work, rest or play, in the ‘Man and Activity’ department, we are always looking for an opportunity to improve and build on the products and services that have brought us to where we are today.

Implements are often needlessly complicated, according to Remi van Oers. Take for example the car jack. Not everyone knows how to handle it and it takes a lot of physical effort out of the user. Van Oers has designed Easy-Car-Jack a version that will self-inflate, cranking the car up in the process. The carjack is super-simple to use.
