MAN AND MOBILITY

The ‘Man and Mobility’ department focuses on industrial products related directly to mobility. You will study the possibilities for
transporting people, goods and data. You will approach the subject both physically and virtually, developing solutions to problems
regarding e.g. personal versus public transport. Other topics range from mobility strategies for contingency plans and airport concepts
to fire fighting in future infrastructure.

As a student in Man and Mobility you will employ a specific, rationally structured design method. And you will speak the language of the industry, because this is the language you will need in your professional environment. So you will learn all about technical drawing, technical documentation, scale models and cost & price analyses. Other areas of expertise include marketing and ergonomics. A Mobility designer cannot approach a project solely from a technological and/or rational perspective. On the contrary. You are on an ongoing search for balance between emotion and the ratio, between dream and reality.

In the future we will be more mobile
than ever before and the appliances
we use to make our lives more
comfortable will have to be equally
adaptable. Ultrasphere is a washing
machine that is so compact in size
that it can be taken anywhere. Place
it an a watertight bag with your
dirty linens. Ultrasphere then uses
ultrasound to create millions of tiny air
bubbles in the water that will dissolve
any stains.
