Mickael Boulay, Dave Hakkens, Rianne Koens en Vincent Meertens are nominated for the BRAINS award 2011. During the opening ceremony of the STRP festival in Eindhoven tonight the winner will be presented. He or she will receive a receive a prize of 6.500,- euro.

BRAINS Eindhoven is an innovative competition initiated by Brainport for and by students in the region of EIndhoven. BRAINS challenges all Eindhoven students to submit innovative, creative, and socially relevant ideas or products to the professional jury.

Criteria
The ideas that BRAINS is looking for have to contribute to a more pleasant housing, working, and living climate in the city of Eindhoven. It is important that the product or idea should be usable and tangible for the city and the inhabitants. The jury has selected a top 10 and the student with the best innovative idea which could help people in the region. One of the pillars of Brainport is top technology. Therefore, products that are technology-related and economically significant have an advantage.

Jury
The jury members are professionals in the field of education, government and the business sector. The jury assesses the entries on a number of aspects: the degree of innovation of the entry, the suitability of the idea or product to the residents of the city of Eindhoven, and the feasibility of the idea.
