Toni Wagner

Research Coordination SI–LAB

Toni Wagner -> she/her/they -> a designer, researcher, learner, feminist, maker, seamstress – born and raised on a farm in the German south, I embrace a practical working-class background that follows a deep curiosity to humble everyday practices, like maintenance.

Holding a BA in Interaction Design and MA in Critical Design Research I use a process-based design lens to improve workflows, organise systems and explore solutions in a collaborative, tactile way. My practice is situated at the intersection of design research, storytelling and experience design. It actively translates relationships between critical theory, interdisciplinary- and everyday practices to a broad audience, exploring different formats like writing, broadcasting, programming, moderating and hosting.

I am currently on the trajectory of becoming a certified seamstress at the Modevakschool Nationaal and next to further my thesis research on mending and maintaining practices within the slow-fashion movement with feminst-care-tools.
