How to address and report undesirable behavior or a suspected code of conduct violation at Design Academy Eindhoven
Code of Conduct
The DAE Code of Conduct provides clarity on what is and what is not allowed at DAE and how to address or report suspected issues. If you have experienced or witnessed undesirable behaviour the code of conduct can provide insight.
Addressing uncomfortable situations
We are all learning, and therefore all make mistakes, miscommunicate, or express ourselves clumsily, which can unintentionally create confusion or discomfort. Often when this happens, the person themselves, a manager, tutor, coordinator, or staff member, or fellow student can clear things up quickly. Therefore, we encourage to attempt addressing potential issues and uncomfortable situations personally first when possible.
Reporting a suspected code of conduct violation
In some instances a suspicion arises that the Code of Conduct has been violated or that a person has been harmed or treated unfairly.
We encourage all to report the suspected Code of Conduct violations when
1. addressing it personally or through a tutor, staff member, or manager does not solve or clear up the issue;
2. the issue is too serious to address directly or through a tutor, staff member, or manager.
In these cases, DAE is committed to taking careful and sufficient action. File a report by emailing the central reporting point, Henri Beelen: loket@designacademy.nl.
