Patricia Reed

Department Head

Patricia Reed is a theorist, artist, and designer based in Berlin. She began at DAE as a thesis tutor at Critical Inquiry Lab in 2019. Her work addresses social transformations of coexistence at planetary dimensions, focusing on the interactions between world-models and practices of inhabitation. Recent writings have been published in Informatics of Domination, Pierre Huyghe: Liminal, Space Synthesis, AI Realities, Ceremony: Burial of an Undead World, The Unmanned, Glass Bead Journal, The New Normal, Construction Site for Possible Worlds, e-flux Journal and e-flux Architecture.

Reed was an affiliate researcher of the Antikythera programme in 2023 (Los Angeles), and was theory researcher for the Stadtkuratorin Project in Hamburg (DE), 2025. She co-wrote the Xenofeminist Manifesto as Laboria Cuboniks which was republished by Verso in 2018, with subsequent books in Greek, Korean, French and Spanish. A compilation volume of Reed’s works was released by Holobionte Ediciones (Spanish) in 2025 entitled Cosmovisiones de Otro Mundo.
