Charlotte Triebus

The Body As Material
Charlotte Triebus works as a performance artist and choreographer. With her ensemble and her team of developers, she researches at the interface of dance, art and technology. Charlotte combines artistic practice and theoretical research. She specifically questions the performing body, agency and queer identity relationships.

About the lecture
By examining the moving body, we will enter the field of agents, interdisciplinarity, identity and communication, questioning and analysing choices, form and methodologies for and with this rich material. Strongly entangled with ethical discourse, we will be looking at our research and different experimental setups with the body, movement and performativity especially when it comes to collaboration with technology and code.

The Body As Material tackles critical conversations on identity and data, on representation and languages, using the (moving) body as a resource to carefully offer new perspectives on design.
