A curated series of discussions presented by the Master programme of DAE during Milan Design Week 2025

DAE questions the ethics of materialization in an era of environmental and social injustice. Learning by doing is central to DAE’s design philosophy, but what does this mean in a world of limited resources? Are there alternative ways to prototype? What are the politics of materiality when these prototypes become products in an unequal world? Speakers include Afaina de Jong (Head of MA Contextual Design and founder of AFARAI), Dace Sūna (2023 MA Contextual Design alumna), and current DAE student Sade Ekwedike.
