Making
In collaboration with SintLucas, Design Academy Eindhoven presents ‘Making’, an exhibition taking place in our shared Glassroom space. Open from 26 May - 30 June, the exhibition presents works from 16 makers, all alumni of both DAE and SintLucas. Presented in the windows of the space, the exhibition is visible from outside the Glassroom, allowing anyone passing by to experience the works.
In harmony with nature, shaped by plants and animals, it is humans who create our living environment. Everything around us has been conceived, designed, and made, although we seldom reflect on this. Whether it’s furniture, an everyday object, an installation, reshaping of social structures, or even creating awareness for a particular theme—everything is a product of making.
This exhibition, featuring Alumni who began their journey at SintLucas and continued at Design Academy, showcases a rich palette of interdisciplinary work and explores the role of these makers in shaping the world of tomorrow. Visitors are invited to reflect on the meaning of making in a constantly changing world and the importance of learning by doing, especially when you, yourself, are constantly evolving.
