Design Academy Eindhoven and The Social Hub Talent Foundation launch new Changemaker Scholarship.
This new scholarship gives two prospective master students the chance to receive one year's free housing at ‘The Social Hub’ for the academic year 2025-2026.
This new collaboration between DAE and The Social Hub Talent Foundation brings together a shared vision: empowering young changemakers through inclusive education, personal support, and long-term opportunity.
At its core, the Changemaker Scholarship provides students with free accommodation for ten months at The Social Hub Eindhoven. It offers a fully furnished studio, access to the gym, bike rental and a safe and welcoming space within a vibrant international community.
In addition to living at The Social Hub, scholarship recipients will also take part in a skilling programme developed by the TSH Talent Foundation. Over the course of the year, students will participate in five sessions focused on personal and professional growth, exploring topics such as self-awareness, storytelling, and well-being.
The Changemaker Scholarship is intended for students who bring talent and ambition to DAE but face challenges in securing housing or support while studying abroad. This scholarship welcomes individuals who have refugee status or are newcomers living in the Netherlands without citizenship, as well as those who are the first in their family to attend university. The scholarship actively encourages applications from the LGBTQI+ community.
“At the TSH Talent Foundation, we look for partnerships with institutions that share our values and vision.
Design Academy Eindhoven has long been a place where design is not just a discipline, but a way to challenge the world around us. This shared belief in creativity as a force for change is what makes this partnership so meaningful.
It’s about more than providing students with accommodation - it’s about nurturing a generation that sees design as both a question and an answer.
We’re proud to support and elevate these voices together.”
— Frank Uffen, TSH Talent Foundation
To be considered, applicants must already have received an unconditional offer from one of the Master programmes at DAE. They must also have been awarded a scholarship from another organisation that covers a portion of their tuition or study expenses, but not accommodation. To be sure there is no duplications of similar funding DAE will review each case.
Master Coordinators for each course will reach out to prospective students who have applied to DAE. Those who match the requirements will be nominated to The Social Hub, which will conduct interviews with the shortlisted students. Selected students will be welcomed into into a safe space supported by DAE, allowing them to begin their design careers without having to worry about housing.
