Quantum Dinner
Ceren Sözer
Quantum Dinner’ is a participatory performance and installation that embodies Deep Eating, a method developed by Ceren Sözer. Rooted in her research, the methodology takes inspiration from composer Pauline Oliveros’s practice of Deep Listening and extends it into the act of eating. The method reinterprets the metabolism as a site where the eater and the eaten become co-authors, acknowledging the universal process of entropy.
The performance begins with storytelling and unfolds into a collective eating session guided by the Deep Eating concept. At its centre is a dinner table installation where dinnerware is positioned beneath the table, appearing to float in the air.
