Dr. Ian Biscoe Joins 3EALITY with Keynote at 3EALITY Sessions
During the keynote, Professor Ian Biscoe will present recent work from the Trans Realities Lab, outlining how the lab is developing new frameworks for distributed immersive environments across film, XR/spatial computing, and distributed computing. Central to the presentation is Cat Content, a groundbreaking film produced collaboratively and simultaneously across multiple countries. All contributors worked together inside a high-fidelity, persistent virtual world, demonstrating how cinematic production can unfold within shared immersive environments.
The project explores new modes of real-time collaboration, coordinated authorship, and spatially situated storytelling. Beyond filmmaking, it serves as a testbed for distributed collaboration models in design, education, and manufacturing — expanding how we think about creative production in networked realities.
The programme includes a welcome by Philipp Werle (HTCE & 3EALITY), the keynote by Ian Biscoe (DAE & TRL), an open mic session for ideas and questions, and drinks and networking.
By joining 3EALITY, the Trans Realities Lab strengthens its commitment to interdisciplinary experimentation at the intersection of design, technology, and immersive media.
