Dr. Tzlil Sharon

Researcher Design Research Framework

Media researcher. She was previously a postdoctoral researcher at the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA) at the University of Amsterdam. In her PhD thesis, she examined the cultural construction of the podcast listener: why podcast listening is gaining popularity and what ideologies and logics underpin this. Her work combines cultural studies, discourse analysis and digital methods, amongst other approaches. Her current research focuses on the datafication of podcast listening via platform APIs and how podcasts are ‘represented’ by both platforms and human actors.
