Temporary Creative Advisory roles at Design Academy Eindhoven

To maintain momentum, DAE’s Executive Board, led by Raf De Keninck, is temporarily managing all responsibilities while the Supervisory Board finalises a profile for the new creative leadership by September 2026.

Two temporary roles, GS26 Art Director and Creative Advisor for New Campus, have been created to bridge this period.

DAE's Executive Board oversees the Academy’s overall management and administration. It currently consists of a Chair/General Director and Creative leadership. As the Supervisory Board reviews the situation and prepares to select new Creative Leadership,  the Executive Board Chair, Raf De Keninck, has taken over all responsibilities and current affairs with the support of the DAE Management Team.

The Supervisory and Executive Boards are currently considering how future creative leadership can have the greatest positive impact within DAE. This process will conclude in September with the creation of a new Creative leadership profile. Naturally, staff and the academic community will be involved in the upcoming recruitment process.

Until new Creative leadership is found, two temporary Creative Advisory roles have been created for the upcoming period: GS26 Art Director & Creative Advisor for New Campus.

GS26 Art Director

This part-time Creative leadership role plays a key part in shaping the Academy’s artistic vision for the Graduation Show 2026, in collaboration with the General Director. To ensure continuity, DAE has asked Martina Muzi to lead the Art Direction for GS26. As temporary Art Director, they will provide strategic and creative guidance, aligning the Graduation Show exhibition with DAE’s artistic vision, heritage and evolving ambitions. With experience in curating the last three editions of the Graduation Show, we eagerly anticipate Martina’s approach in this new role. They will be supported by the GS26 Curatorial team. More information about this will follow soon via the GS team.

Creative Advisor for New Campus

To strengthen the steering group for DAE’s New Campus project, we are delighted to introduce Kiki van Eijk as our newly appointed temporary Creative Advisor. Kiki is one of our successful BA Studio Leaders and also runs her own studio in Eindhoven, bringing valuable connections to the Academy and a deep understanding of the local context. She will contribute a creative perspective to the project’s next steps. Kiki will attend all future meetings and decision-making moments, and serve as a key sparring partner for Raf De Keninck. She will be a member of the steering committee until new Creative leadership has been appointed.

We are looking forward to an exciting recruitment period and a great start of new Creative leadership at DAE.
